How much does it cost?

The camping trip will be free for the weekend, however we ask that everyone try and contribute something towards the food / supplies needed for the Pack.

Are other family members allowed to attend?

We are limiting this to family members only. If a grandparent or aunt/uncle want to attend, they can do so. All adults must complete Youth Protection Training prior to the camp. See instructions below.

What do we need to prepare?

• All Parents, Guardians, & Adults must complete the online Youth Protection Training. Click on the icon in the middle of the page to take the training. Register for an account and complete the module assigned. All adults must also be **HISD Volunteer In Public Schools (VIPS)** certified. This is just an added layer of protection for our kids. Email Abe ([email protected]) with your completed YPT Module and VIPS Certification.
• Medical forms to be completed. Fill out Medical Forms A and B for each person who will attend the camp. Send the completed pdf to Abe or print the form and bring it to a meeting.
• This is a tent-only camping trip, so you will want to bring a number of camping items. See the full recommended list on the website.

What is our check-in and check-out time?

We can arrive between 5-8pm on Friday to set up camp. Please plan on having dinner before you arrive, or we can make a grill available for you to use on site if you’d like. However, each family will be responsible for their own dinner that evening.

If you’re unable to join on Friday, you can arrive on Saturday morning. Our program activities will start at 9am. Please let your Den Leader know if you’re arriving on Saturday, so we know when to expect you.

We will begin packing up at 9am on Sunday morning, and we have to leave camp by 11am.
